Seeing my legislation, the ACT for #ALS, become law was one of my proudest moments as your Congressman, and I was equally proud to see the reauthorization pass the House and Senate just a few weeks ago. That's why I participated in the @lesturnerals.bsky.social Foundation's ALS Walk for Life.
House Democrats are proud to welcome our new members from all over the country.
Together, we’re going to deliver for the American people.
Happy Native American Heritage Month! Do you know the word Illinois comes from the native Illinois language, spoken by the Illinois Confederation?

I enjoyed meeting with constituents in Streeterville recently!
During these turbulent times, it’s important to come together and remember to support our community.
Wishing all of my constituents a safe and Happy Halloween!🎃
I enjoyed celebrating with YMCA Lakeview and Chicago Housing Authority seniors!
Before Election Day on Tuesday, I want to be crystal clear that our elections are safe and secure.
More below.
I’m proud to be the first cosponsor on @congressmanraja.bsky.social bill to crack down on #Flock cameras in your neighborhood. This bill will withhold federal transportation funding from any state that uses Flock cameras, automated license plate readers, and other technology for nefarious purposes.
My Washington, DC office is hiring a paid Communications Intern for the Spring 2027 Semester!📣
The Communications Intern will report directly to my Communications Team and get to experience the inner workings of #Congress. If you or someone you know is interested, apply by November 20th!
17 years ago today, President Obama signed the Matthew Shepard & James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act into law.
As Todd Blanche’s DOJ continues their lax enforcement of federal hate crime laws, I’m fighting with the @equality.house.gov to stop these attacks and protect all Americans.
Dolores Huerta paved the way for millions of farmworkers, organizers, women, and Mexican Americans.
I join her descendants, loved ones, and admirers in mourning her loss. May she rest in peace.
To Ms. Huerta, thank you for making our country better🇺🇸
It’s Intersex Awareness Week! Intersex Americans—people who have variations in their chromosomes, hormones, or anatomy—often face discrimination or incompetent care in the doctor’s office.
After weeks of raising concerns with Amtrak about the relocation of the facility to Union Pacific’s Canal Street Yard, I am pleased to hear that FRA will conduct a full environmental assessment. This will give the community a long-overdue opportunity to provide input on the project.

Yesterday, I visited the National Public Housing Museum in Chicago. The museum finally opened last year, after years of advocacy. Their work preserves the history of the many Americans who fought to create public housing in the United States.
A founding member of CEC's Trans Equality Task Force, Vice Chair @quigley.house.gov helped lead the opposition to a set of anti-trans rules proposed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services earlier this year.
Our community is lucky to have a fighter like Rep. Quigley!
October is LGBTQ+ History Month!🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🎉
In 1970, Chicago’s very first Pride was held in our very own Washington Square Park. I’m working with the LGBT Hall of Fame to secure a plaque that shares this special piece of history.
We must remember what it took to get here, and how far we can go together.
It was great to see so many of my Wicker Park constituents at BooPalooza this weekend!👻🎃
During these turbulent times, it’s incredibly important to make time for our community and remember what matters.
